Terry Stewart McMillan

Terry McMillan Was a dedicated father, and husband, He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a person who seemed to know everyone in Owen Sound. He had a great respect for the art of conversation, and seemed to practice it every where he went. To my father there was no class system, and he made it a point to speak with every passerby he knew. Terry always paid attention to the little people, not unlike his own father, he made a point to speak to the children, with an almost uncanny ability to understand where they were coming from. Terry was a father and also a husband to Faith ann, Myself, Justin and Melissa. At Terry's funural over 700 people attended. In Owen Sound this is quite a feet. In the town of Owen Sound Dad seemed to know over half of the city. My Father was most happiest at Family reunions were he could practice the art of conversation, along with fishing derbies, where he was as popular as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. His great joy was fishing on the boat out on Georgian Bay. along with spending weekends with the family drinking wine and laughing. My father was never judgemental, and always spoke in a postive maner of most everybody. The glass always seemed half full with my father, and he was always excited about the latest goals of his sons and daughter. My Father taught me an appreciation of the important things in life. He always said that people don't realize how great things are until they loose them. Never were truer words spoken. For now we all miss my father, now that he is gone. And realize only now how valuable, and limited his time with us was. I'm not going to make excuses for Jesus, because he never showed.

So I've started this website, for people to remember my father, and perhaps share a few stories of his wisdom
